Chamber music has provided elegance and sophistication to wedding ceremonies for centuries. Let Pro Art continue the tradition at your wedding. We offer string quartets, string trios, brass quartets, jazz, classical, and cocktail pianists, harpists, vocalists, trumpets, guitarists, bagpipers, and more. Combinations and substitutions can include substituting flute or oboe for a violin in the string trio or string quartet, harp violin or viola and cello, guitar and voice, flute and guitar, violin and piano, flute and piano, violin cello and piano, guitar and violin, as well as others. These groups and performers are available for your wedding ceremony and reception. For your reception needs Pro Art also has a wide range of bands including cover bands, original bands, jazz bands including jazz trios, quartets, quintets and full jazz orchestras with voice trumpet and other combinations. Our members perform with the Twin Cities elite arts orghanization including the Minnesota Orchestra, St Paul Chamber Orchestra and Minnesota Opera. We have performed many types of weddings and will work closely with you to choose the most appropriate music that suits your personal tastes. We suggest using the Pro Art string quartet for your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner hour. Let our professionals guide you through a memorable experience.

These are times chamber music will add ambiance and sophistication to your wedding ceremony:

Preludes:	15-30 minutes during guest arrival and seating
Wedding Party:	Bridesmaids and groomsmen processional and placements
Bride Processional:	Entrance of the bride
Interludes:	Music for reflection, communion, and lighting of the unity candle, or accentuate readings
Recessional:	Exit of the bride, groom, wedding party, and guests

Wedding ceremony sections and appropriate styles:

Preludes:	Slow lyrical lines of music such as slow movements from Mozart or Haydn string quartets, or flowing passages of notes such as Pachelbel's Canon in D
Wedding Party:	More moderate tempos such as Bach: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
Bride Processional:	A more robust or stately selection such as Clarke: Trumpet Voluntary, Wagner: Bridal Chorus, or something more relaxed such as Handel: Air.
Interlude:	An uplifting selection such as Massanet: Meditation from "Thais" or perhaps Bernstein: One Hand One Heart.
Recessional:	A lively piece, which is cheerful, and bright, such as Mozart: Eine Kleine Nachtmusik or Handel: La Rejouissance or Vivaldi: "Spring" from the Four Seasons

Choices of instrumentation:

String Quartet:

Two violins,viola, and cello. The most used and recommended for most weddings. String quartets carry in large halls and churches without amplification and provides a wide array of color pallets and dynamic ranges.

String Trio:

One violin,viola,and cello. Less powerful than a string quartet, but equally provides a wide array of musical colors. String trios are still able to carry through halls and churches but are more appropriate for smaller spaces.
